"A leader, like an orchestra conductor derives his/her true power from his ability to make other people powerful." From The Art of Possibility
Today's tempo is such that C-level executives are not always going to be there to make decisions. Organizations need people at all levels with the ideas, values, energy and edge to arouse, engage and satisfy the motivational touch points of others. This is all within an environment of change, disappearance of the loyalty factor, conflict and team members assuming a survivor attitude. SEED workshop on 'Leadership skills' was also based on this concept.
The workshop explored the role of dialogue in problem solving, consciousness raising, bridging the gap between thought and action, challenging limitations of identity politics, and building genuine relationships among people of diverse backgrounds. It also highlighted critical leadership skills including: Self reflection, consistent perseverance, encouragement and empowerment of others, empathic listening, open and sincere speaking, and valuing leadership as service.
Only iEnites with 1-4 years of experience at hand were eligible for this workshop. The workshop experience ranged from experience in promoting dialogue and transformational thinking around controversial issues, organizing participation in different social activities that participants might not otherwise attend to build that need and sense for leadership
