After winning hearts and preliminaries in New i with ease, the champs from iEnergizer headed for Mumbai for a final showdown. After a great welcome by the hosts, the iE Team headed for the finals venue - Dadar Pasee Gymkhana for a contest with Mumbai league winners - HSBC. The match began with great show of HSBC's offense versus iE defense tactics. It was in the dying moments of first half that HSBC managed to sneak in with a goal.
With one goal deficit, the iE team re-worked its strategy and pulled through an equalizer. With greater offense strategies HSBC scored another goal in fading ticker of second half. In spite of all valient efforts of the iE strikers and all up team, the game ended with iEnergizer going down 2-1 to HSBC.
As a spectator, it was definitely remarkable to see such efforts for a win. The iE football team showcased a lot of talent and brought back learning experience. iEnite striker Dinesh Bisht was awarded the "Best player of the Tournament" for his 17 goals. After a long day and meeting high ups in presentation ceremony the iEnergizer team definitely returned "winners" of hearts.
